We are here to fix that

Welcome to Ready to Return. We are Canada's first and only comprehensive program committed to repairing and strengthening the maternity and paternity leave process for organizations and their employees. The fight to attract and retain mid and senior-level talent, and women in particular, will be won by organizations that create workplaces that work for parents. As employees struggle to navigate the transition to parenthood, many are left to self-organize their parental leave with little to no support from employers. Our solution is simple:
Create transparent and cohesive policies and procedures followed across the organization.
Provide support from experts and parents who are innovators in this space. We meet working parents right where they need us.
Provide training and support to managers, HR, employees and parents that is comprehensive, cutting edge and simple.
Train and certify helping professionals (therapists, coaches and social workers) on our
Ready to Return process ensuring they can help their clients transition to working parenthood successfully.

Designed by Allison Venditti, Return-to-Work Expert, Certified Human Resources Leader and mother of three, in collaboration with Sunnybrook Pregnancy and Infant Loss, Hudson Employment Law and Nutmeg Consulting, Ready to Return is an all-in-one solution for your organization.

What People are saying about Ready to Return

This course provided a great venue to share ideas and fears with other moms that were at a similar stage of their maternity leave. It was a very welcoming group where all questions and concerns were encouraged and addressed in a very non-judgmental way. I have been referring back to some of the materials as my return to work date gets closer and closer. I would recommend for anyone returning back to work – first maternity leave or otherwise!

Marcia - Senior Professional Practice Leader

I took Ready to Return after it was recommended by a friend. I felt supported. I had a team behind me that gave me the confidence and tools to negotiate a return to work that worked for me. My manager even told me that where other staff had struggled during their return - it was like I didn't miss a beat. That is what happens when you get support, guidance and experts to help you.

Lisa - Healthcare Professional

frequently asked questions

15 minutes. I designed this course while I was on maternity leave with my 3rd baby. I totally get it! If you miss a day – you can catch up. If you need anything I am avaliable – the whole time!

There is NO place to login. You get the content sent to you every morning directly to your inbox. Just check your email and you are good to go! Each email has a link to our closed Facebook group so you can pop in for the discussion. All resources are placed in a folder that you can grab whenever you want. No sign in. No fuss. No bother. EASY!

Nope, In Ready to Return our experts each have a whole day with you! They will start off with great info and resources and will be there all afternoon (from 2-5) to answer your questions. Can’t make it? Leave your questions earlier. Missed the date? Don’t worry they will come back in the last week to answer any questions you came up with or missed. As for Allison – she is there all the time. Have a question? She will get back to you the same day! All our expert talks and videos are recorded and are avaliable on demand afterwards.

So many things have changed during COVID 19. Ready to Return has changed too! I have included an employment lawyer to help us through our rights and discussions at work, psychotherapist to talk about anxiety and stress and a daycare manager to give you the facts about what childcare looks like and what you need to know.

Absolutely not! It is good to be prepared for these conversations. Plus you keep all the content for as long as you want! We also have a Ready to Return alumni group where you can continue to get support when the program is done!
